Visa Immigration To Canada: How to Immigrate to Canada with Low IELTS Score
Many have all but one of the conditions required for Canadian Immigration - good IELTS scores. When I say good IELTS scores, I mean good enough scores to emigrate to Canada. As you already know, the English exam tests four (4) language skills - reading, writing, listening and speaking. To maximize the points available for language proficiency, you need to score CLB9 (initial progress) on each language skill. So reading-7, Writing - 7, listening - 8 and speaking - 7. If you don't know much about the IELTS and CLB system, read this article to help you decide whether your English is good enough for immigration to Canada .
The most popular route to Canada is The Express Entry Scheme and remains popular. But if you don't have all the Clb9s, it will be almost impossible to get a score that will help you migrate to Canada. Unless, of course, you get points for factors like getting a job offer in Canada or getting a provincial nomination. The latter is one of the topics we will discuss in this article. These are some of the things we will discuss in this article. Then let's get started.

WAYS TO MIGRATE TO CANADA WITH LOW IELTS SCORE
If your IELTS scores are not at least CLB 9, there are other ways to increase your CRS score. Some of these ways, such as having a close relative in Canada, having Canadian education and Canadian work experience can be hard to add to your profile. Therefore, you are left with only a few options.
GET A JOB OFFER IN CANADA
A job offer in Canada adds between 50 to 200 points to your express entry profile. This will be more than any points remaining for grabs in your IELTS. Therefore, it a common practice to actively look for Canadian employers that will give you job offers.
Many people who have gotten job offers often do so via the Canadian Government Job Bank portal. You can click here – https://www.jobbank.gc.ca/ to access the portal. On this platform, various employers post different vacancies they have so that eligible persons can apply. If you have an active express entry profile, you can easily apply for these jobs.
It would interest you to know that a job offer means that you don’t need to meet the proof of fund (money) requirement. The IRCC thinks that having a job means you already have a promise of money (in the form of salary) for sustenance. Therefore, you don’t need evidence of funds and you can immigrate to Canada without any money.
PROVINCIAL NOMINATION PROGRAM (PNP) OPTION
Various provinces in Canada can nominate candidates in the express entry pool for immigration. These provinces usually pick from the pool of people with skills that are in high-demand or shortage in their respective provinces. A provincial nomination will add an extra 600 marks to your express entry total point. At this point, IELTS has nothing on you. Even if you had 300 marks before, a nomination will shoot it up to 900. Only a few people can beat that.
There are about three (3) provinces that make this possible and relatively easy. It is because of these reasons that many intending applicants make these provinces their choice. The following are the provinces.
THE PROVINCE OF SASKATCHEWAN
The most popular province among people seeking the provincial nomination is Saskatchewan. The program is called the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) and it is the most lenient in terms of the requirements.
With a low IELTS score band of 4.5, you can successfully get the nomination for Permanent Residency if you have many years of work experience and high scores in the other factors under consideration.
THE PROVINCE OF ALBERTA
Just like Saskatchewan, Alberta doesn’t give too much emphasis on language (IELTS) score. However, unlike Saskatchewan, Alberta does not allow you to directly apply for their Express Entry stream. You have to be invited, then sent the application link before you can apply.
THE PROVINCE OF NOVA SCOTIA
This province has an express entry stream that invited skilled workers to come and live and work in Canada. In this category, they have two streams – Category A for applicants with a job offer from an employer in Nova Scotia and Category B, which targets applicants with experience in an opportunity occupation.
However, category B is not always open; the province opens and closes it at different points in the year. Therefore, you have to keep track of when it opens on this page. Here, a low IELTS score does not really matter too.
I am not talking about other provinces because they either require that you have a family member or a close friend in Canada or a job offer from a Canadian employer. You can scroll back up to check as we already covered it earlier in the article. If you are lucky, you might get a job offer from a Canadian employer which qualifies you for a provincial nomination in some provinces.
So these are the ways you can immigrate to Canada with low IELTS scores.
